Local author and historian Robert Allison Ragan has published several books about Gaston County history and in this recently-published paperback he has gathered and account of the cotton mills and industry leaders that made Gastonia, NC, the “Combed Yarn Center of America”. Printed locally by Loftin & Co, this book will be available through the Gaston County Museum.
